The newly released BlackBerry Messenger 6 (BBM-6) application for BlackBerry smartphones is an attempt by BlackBerry parent company, research in motion (RIM), to tap in and tie together some of the popularity of Smartphone applications and social media. It is also an attempt by RIM, to
take a slice of the Smartphone market back of platforms like the iPhone from Apple and Google Android, which have enabled heavily on social media integration and open platform applications.
RIM is BBM 6 branding, as a real-time messaging client that provides an innovative experience by focusing on social media and app integration. The BlackBerry Messenger 6 application allows you to share users, listen to what he or she is, read or use for applications. The real innovation is that users not switch between BBM 6 and the application, who must use them. Instead, they can interact within a third-party application without actually what application they already use.
